Honoring National Day of Prayer and Celebrating Mothers

Throughout my ministry, I have seen praying mothers pray for God to intercede in the waiting rooms dealing with trauma, at church altars crying out for family and life situations and within their homes, seeking a change or a movement for all.  In this season of Mother’s Day, I have observed mothers praying that God will transform a hurting Nation into a joyful prayer of thanksgiving or comfort in a grieving situation. Mothers, trusting in the power of God to make the impossible, possible.

As we prepare to observe Mother’s Day and A National Day of Prayer, let us remember the importance of prayer along this Christian journey. Let us hold tight to the impact, the change, and the continuous presence of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, that brings our prayer and our prayer requests to life.  That my friends, is what is needed right now, in our hurting and broken land.  In scriptures, the Apostle Paul reminds us that, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty”. (2 Corinthians 3:17) “Keep on praying and guard your prayers with thanksgiving.”(Colossians 4:2) & “Rejoice always. Pray continually. Give thanks in every situation because this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
