Dear RSNY Church Family and Friends,
As we begin 2023, I am excited about the new opportunities for God’s people in the Lord Jesus. At the beginning of a new year, it is a blessing to be refreshed in Jesus as He brings new breath in our morning and strength to our mobility. It is an opportunity to strive to grow in God’s Word of Hope and Victory in our “Daily Bread”.
Looking back and reflecting on the work of our Classes and Consistories, one of my greatest joy’s is remembering the goodness of God. Remembering how Jesus brought us from captivity “Babylon” from stewardship uncertainties, grieving moments, spiritual depression, building and maintenance concerns and tension faced with our families and relationship with others, even the church families to victory again and again.
As we move into 2023, God is doing a new thing in our churches, especially in the Reformed Church in America. God is calling us, through God’s Word to a new ministry of Discipleship and Revitalization. God’s Word calls us to look to Jesus in our wilderness experiences in our church communities, not to look at our troubled circumstances and negative situations. The Joy of new beginning is to focus on Jesus and stop looking behind to our broken conditions which we have no control over. I love when people say, whatever your plight in life or struggles, take it to God in prayer and leave it with him to Fix your life. Blessings in the New Year as we move forward in victory.
