I am writing to alert you to two opportunities for your Classis candidates under care for ordination.
- The Theological Education Scholarship Fund for Racial-Ethnic Students is a scholarship fund that supports racial-ethnic students pursuing ministry. Gifts given to this fund date back to the early 1800’s. Prioritizing thoughtful and theologically trained leaders was the vision for furthering faith communities throughout the denomination.

- The Beth E. Marcus Scholarship Fund was established in 1977 to honor Beth E. Marcus. This fund has been developed and maintained by gifts received in her honor and is stewarded by RCA Women’s Transformation and Leadership. The Beth E. Marcus Scholarship Fund offers up to eight (8) scholarships per year, ranging from $500-$1000 to part-time and full-time women seminarians and candidates under care who are attending an RCA seminary or are part of the MFCA program.

Applicants must reapply each year for both scholarships. They are now accepting applications through July 31, 2025 for the 2025-2026 academic year.
