Remembering 9/11

I remember 9/11/01 as if it was yesterday.  I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing.   I remember the memorials in the subways,  I remember  passing all the homes with make-shift wreaths on doors signifying that someone in that home had died as a result of the assault on our country.  I remember crying for weeks and months.

While it was one of my saddest moments, it was also one of my proudest…

It was a day  when New Yorkers came together and stood together as one!  Many trying to find their way home, covered in ashes, each one helping the one next to them.  It was a day when churches join together in prayer.   We came together that day and for a moment was reminded  that we are better and stronger together.
