日米合同教会は、礼拝、人々との交わり、学び、伝道や奉仕を通して、キリストへの信仰を分か
ち合い、キリストの弟子として共に成長する事を目的とし、特にニューヨーク市近郊に住む日本人
と日本に興味のある方へ働きかける事を求めるクリスチャンの共同体です。
日米合同教会は、主によって呼ばれ、教会とそのミッションを活動的に導いてくださる主任牧師を
探しています。 牧師は、主イエスキリストと、意味のある個人的な関係を築いている方、そして
主との関係を証言できる方である事。牧師は主要な教団に属し、教団によって聖職者として認可
されている事。 また、米国改革派教会、そして（若しくは）合同メソジスト教会によって仕える事を
承認されなければなりません。
牧師は、聖書に基づいた説教と共に、持続した日曜礼拝を築き、日米合同教会での日曜礼拝に
人々が教会へ足を運び、主を礼拝したいと思えるような場所へと変化させる事に意欲のある方。
牧師は、日米合同教会が、特に日本人と日系アメリカ人と、日本に興味のある方へキリストとの
救いの中での良き知らせを分かち合えるように助ける賜物を持っている事。
牧師は教会が分かち合いの場となるように、スモールグループを助け、キリストを慕う者としての
信者の次世代を育てる事。 候補者は、米国に於いての労働許可を取得している方が望ましい。
日米合同教会は、神の恵みを深く信じ、新しい牧師を通して神の新たなビジョンを受け取る事が
出来るよう、定期的に祈りの内に集まっています。 全教会員は、新主任牧師を支えて行けるよう

The Japanese American United Church (JAUC) is a Christian community seeking to reach out,
especially to Japanese and those who are interested in Japan in the greater New York City
area, with the purpose of sharing faith in Christ and growing together in Christian discipleship through worship, fellowship, study, evangelism and mission.
JAUC is seeking a dynamic full-time pastor who is called by our Lord to lead the church in its mission. The pastor should have a meaningful personal relationship with the Lord Jesus and be able to bear witness of a personal relationship with the Lord. Our pastor must be affiliated with and ordained by a recognized denomination and will have to receive approval to serve by the Reformed Church in America (RCA) and/or United Methodist Church (UMC).The pastor will be called to establish consistent structure in the Sunday worship with biblically based sermons and transform our Sunday worship to a place where people would want to come and worship the Lord. The pastor should be gifted to help the church share the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ, especially to Japanese, Japanese American, and those who are interested in Japan. The pastor should be able to lead the church’s small group ministry to help the fellowship of the church and to disciple the next generation of believers as followers of Jesus Christ.
We prefer candidates who have working permissions in the US. JAUC has been meeting regularly in prayer, firmly believing in the grace of God and waiting to receive new vision from God through our new pastor. The congregation is ready to support the new pastor and we are excited about the great things that God has in store for us.
