47th Annual Galilean Service

With a cool breeze drifting in off the water, the 47th Annual Galilean Service began at the Douglaston dock. Three RCA congregations (Douglaston, Manhasset, and Locust Valley) along with many friends and neighbors worshiped together surrounded by the beauty of creation. This service traditionally includes the launching of a memorial wreath in remembrance of those who have died during the past year. After the benediction, family members and friends gather at the end of dock to share remembrances, and prayers for the departed. The biodegradable wreath is then launched into the bay. Beautiful liturgy, music, and a powerful Word made for inspirational worship.
