The New York State Council of Churches is hosting a Bridging the Urban Rural Divide Conference, July 18 to 20 at the Fulton Montgomery Community College in Johnstown. Come together to move past the superficial political and cultural labels which can separate us to discover our common humanity and how we can work together to meet very real needs in our communities.

Click here for a schedule for the event. You will note the addition of some fine speakers and panelists. Additional speakers will be added to the schedule as they are confirmed.

We are also looking forward to a great dinner picnic on Wednesday evening featuring  SoulSky.  SoulSky is a dynamic, bluesy, jammy, rock band with excellent guitars and an awesome rhythm section. Music that will move your body and soul. Featuring the talents of Jeremy Walz, Tom Dolan, Josh Bloomfield and Mark Emanatian. Visit their facebook page to learn more about the band

Many have told us they plan to come to the conference. It would be helpful, however, if you could officially register here by Wednesday, July 12 so that we can get a firm count for meals and housing. Scholarship assistance, one day fees, and young adult discounts are available.
